best wash my car?

For optimal outcomes, it is advised to wash your car once a week to prevent excessive buildup of contaminants (environmental fallout, road tar, traffic film, water spots, bird poo, tree sap). Using the 2-bucket technique ensures a scratch-free wash. AVOID automated car washes, manual brushes, and cleaners with high pH levels. Avoid washing in direct sunlight to help minimise streaks and water spots.

STEP 1:

Pre-Wash Snowfoam

Begin by thoroughly spraying the entire vehicle with a high-pressure washer or hose to eliminate as much loose dirt as possible. Next, apply a snow foam product using a cannon, ensuring even coverage. Allow the foam to dwell for 3-5 minutes before rinsing it off completely. This process aids in loosening dust and dirt from the paintwork, thereby minimizing the risk of scratches during the subsequent contact washing phase.

STEP 2:

Contact Wash

Using 2 buckets, filling one with shampoo water and the other with clean rinse water. DO NOT USE dishwashing liquid. Ensure the shampoo bucket has sufficient foam; if needed, spray directly into it with the high-pressure lance or hose. With a wash mitt, dip it into the shampoo water and begin cleaning, starting from the roof of the car, moving only in straight lines—avoid circular motions. Rinse the wash mitt promptly in the clean water after each panel. Apply gentle pressure with the wash mitt, allowing it to do the work itself. Wash the lower parts of the car last, and if necessary, use a second wash mitt. Then, thoroughly spray the entire car.

STEP 3:

Drying

Use a plush microfiber cloth to dry the car, ensuring you wipe without applying pressure (let the cloth glide along the flat surfaces), allowing the cloth to absorb the water effectively. Use a separate microfiber cloth to dry the door jambs. If available, utilize compressed air or a blower to effectively dry the corners and cracks, such as mirrors and grilles.

STEP 4:

Finishing

After every wash, apply a spray sealant as the final step. This not only removes any remaining stains and water droplets but also enhances the car’s shine. Additionally, it’s a crucial step for maintaining the coating on your vehicle.
